4 Star Hotel Luna in Medjugorje

VISITING Medjugorje, Sarajevo, Mostar, Tihaljina, Split and Dubrovnik

Saturday | We will meet at 6.20pm for our Air Malta flight to Dubrovnik departing at 8.20pm. On arrival at 9.45pm, we will transfer to our 4 star Hotel Luna in Medjugorje (passports needed) and check into our rooms.

Sunday | We start off our stay with a free day to discover Medjugorje, the world-famous pilgrimage site. It is said that the Blessed Virgin Mary has been appearing to six visionaries here since 1981. We will have time to attend mass and discover the area together with our spiritual director.

Monday | Our first optional full day excursion today will take us to Sarajevo. We will experience all the cultural differences Sarajevo has to offer through visiting all the main attractions. Very often being referred to a place where East meets West, Sarajevo indeed presents the best of both worlds. Dive into the history of the city and see for yourself why Sarajevo is becoming one of the most popular cities in Western Balkans. We will see the City Hall, The Gazi Husrev Bey’s Mosque, Bezistan – the Ottoman closed market, the Latin Bridge, Sarajevo Cathedral, the Old Orthodox Church and much more!

Tuesday | Today we will have another free day in Medjugorje together with our tour leader and spiritual director.

Wednesday | Today, a full-day optional excursion awaits us. Our coach will first take us to Tihaljina – this is a place very significant to the Madonna that was the initial inspiration of Radju Marija worldwide. We later drive to Mostar to visit the old UNESCO protected city. We will be able to see its graceful single-span Old Bridge, the colourful Bazaar, with traditional handicrafts, and the Mosque. On our way back, we will make a stop at Kravice where we will find some stupendous waterfalls!

Thursday | Our full day optional excursion to Split, the second largest urban centre in Croatia and the seat of the Split and Dalmatia County. It is traditionally considered to be over 1,700 years old. Since 1979 the historic centre of Split has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site List. The historical and cultural buildings are located inside the walls of the Diocletian’s Palace.

Friday | Today we will have our last free day in Medjugorje together with our tour leader and spiritual director.

Saturday | After check out of our rooms, we will start our drive back to Dubrovnik. Known as the “Pearl of the Adriatic”, Dubrovnik is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Adriatic and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our coach will take us to a strategic point for a panaromic view of the city with Lokrum and the Elaphiti islands in the distance. We will discover the Old City, surrounded by mighty walls and fortresses which have been well preserved over the centuries. Our walk will take us along the Stradun, the elegant main street, with Onofrio’s Fountains, Orlando’s Column, the Church of St Blaise, who is the city’s patron saint, the Cathedral and other beautiful sites. We will enjoy free time in the city for dinner. Afterwards, we will proceed to the airport for our return Air Malta flight departing from Dubrovnik at 10.35pm and arriving in Malta at 00.05am, early Sunday morning.
