From Tuesday 17 to Thursday 19 October more than half the priest directors of Radio Maria in the world, met in Fatima for a retreat organized by the World Family of Radio Maria. Fr Antoine Borg, Priest Director of Radju Marija Malta was also in attendance.
This retreat was centred around times of community prayer, Eucharistic adoration, Holy Mass, Rosary and Divine Office. Attendees followed talks by distinguished guests about the message of Our Lady in Fatima which is considered as an invitation and a school of salvation. The message of Fatima centres around permanent conversion, the need of daily prayer especially the Rosary, the offering of suffering for conversion according to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and a life lived in grace and in God’s presence.
Besides these conferences, the priest directors visited Radio Maria Portugal in Fatima and the monastery of the Contemplative Carmelite Nuns in Coimbra where the Venerable Sr Lucia, one of the child visionaries who saw Our Lady in Fatima from 1925 to 1929, lived and died. The priest directors had the privilege to celebrate Mass in the monastery’s Chapel.
